LEGALLY ASSISTED MEDIATION
- WHAT IS LEGALLY ASSISTED MEDIATION-
Typically, Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) is facilitated by an accredited practitioner, but sometimes there are situations that are more complex and require a lawyer present to actively advise and assist parties in making legally informed decisions.

Legally Assisted Mediation (also known as lawyer assisted mediation) adopts the same principles of mediation, but provides clients the opportunity of having their legal representative present to support and assist them in the process.

If there is an agreement to attend, both parties are required to appoint their respective representatives.

In Legally Assisted Mediation, clients continue to advocate on their own behalf.
